Kestrel 3000 Pocket Weather Station
Tracks maximum and average wind speeds along with current readings. Displays wind speed in knots, meters per second, kilometers per hour, miles per hour, feet per minute or Beaufort force. Temperature, wind chill, heat index and dew point temperature can be displayed in °C or °F. Relative humidity is expressed as a percentage. Measuring modes and display units can be changed at any time and all functions are controlled with two buttons. A hard, slip-on ergonomic case protects the display, buttons and impeller. 5-year manufacturer’s warranty.

- Thanks for your questions about the Kestrel 3000, item 89183. The meter is waterproof to the IP-67 standard, which means it is sealed against dust and can handle short-term submersion. It does come with a lanyard included. As for choosing the 3000 over the 2500, the main difference is in capability. The 3000 measures additional environmental factors such as relative humidity, dew point, and heat-stress index. The 2500 does not include those functions, so the 3000 offers more complete weather data if that information matters to your work.
