This is the best raccoon trap that I have seen. It has a more sensitive trigger and stronger spring coil so they won't steal your bait and the big ones won't get away. Also it's painted so it won't rust. The copy says the the trap releases on the pull, which is true but it also releases when the trigger is pushed sideways. When the raccoon reaches in they are more likely to push the trigger left or right as they fish for the bait, and that's when it releases where other traps don't. So you're far less likely to have the bait stolen. PS Get the setting tool. This trap is not easy to set without it.
