Reviews
Purchased about 12 years ago. Still works well. If you want a chain as sharp as it can get, this is the way to go. No real skill required!
Due to several storms in the area, I needed my chainsaw operating at peak performance. I did not want to by extra chains nor did I have time to take my blades in for sharpening. (Blades cost $30.00 and sharpening $8.00 locally.) I reviewed a YouTube of some sharpening their saw with this device and thought I would try it. I used to sharpen chains by hand. Not anymore! I used this device on an old chain. Took me about 10 minutes the first time for set up. The chainsaw cuts pine and hickory like butter, like a new chain. This device is easy to use and, as long as you have a 12 volt batter nearby, can be used.
Why did I wait so long??? After trying all the other methods, and failing miserably, I finally decided to purchase this kit. It looks complicated and difficult to use...BUT IT IS NOT!! We are blessed with YouTube, and there are many many good reviews that will help you. The only gripe I have is that this unit comes only with 12 volt clamps. No big deal...since I converted the clamps to a cigarette lighter plug and purchased a 120 volt converter for $10.00 on Amazon. I got my money back in the first two months of sharpening chains. Simple, reasonably priced, made in the USA...AND RAZOR SHARP CHAINS!!!!! Let me ask you: WHY ARE YOU WAITING SO LONG?
