This isn't a light and fast saw for casual cutting, and might not win popularity contests among those that put saws on scales, but it' a hefty, tough saw that is built for medium to big wood, and lasting forever doing it. My father has this saw's predecessor, the CS-670 that he's had for nearly 15 years, rode hard and put up wet. He buys expensive saws and has used up many and said it's the toughest saw he's ever ran. I've only put a few hours on mine. I've used it mostly for ripping big rounds that I don't want to use a maul on. It has been waking up with every tank and has excellent torque. I run my MS261 a lot and it's a great little 50cc saw but this CS-680 will pull a 24 a lot stronger than the 261 pulls an 18. What I like most is the metal gas tank/handle/chassis this saw has. It also has a flawless air filtration system. One thing to note on the Echo's... make sure the carb is set right and it is running rich enough.
