The Forestry Suppliers level books, both small and large sizes, are excellent field notebooks with high-quality water-resistent paper. They are not as waterproof as the RiteInTheRain books, but are much easier to write in with whatever pen or pencil you may happen to have with you. The level books have lines and cols on pages front and back, so all the pages are writeable without the distracting data grids of the other format survey books. The large book has about 26 narrow rows for lots in info entry, and the small book has 18 taller rows for easy note-taking. The small book fits in almost any hip pocket, and the large in larger pockets and survey vests.
