Description

Pathway Herbicide RTU, 2.5 Gallon

Ready-to-use herbicide is effective in cut surface applications for killing unwanted trees and preventing undesirable sprouting of cut trees in forest and other non-crop areas. Controls ailanthus, alder, aspen, birch, cedar, cherry, dogwood, elm, firs, green ash, gum, hawthorn, hickory, hornbeam, maple, oak, pecan, persimmon, serviceberry, sourwood, and sweetbay. Use undiluted with tree injectors or in the frill girdle treatment using an axe. Active ingredients are 5.4% picloram and 20.9% 2, 4 D-Amine. 2-1/2 Gallon Container.

I purchased this a 2.5 jug of this product in 2003 and I just ran out this fall. It is great for getting rid of all those saplings that germinate everywhere in the spring, but my main use for this product was for those volunteer trees that come up in your hedges, along foundations and pretty much anywhere it is near impossible to dig out the roots. I cut the tree off about 4 inches from the soil, apply this product full strength with a paint brush wait for the root to die then cut off the stu

Works very well but can contaminate groundwater. Do not use on sandy soil.

used on various broadleaf trees as cut stump treatment, works great. No problems with resprouting. Dye makes it easy to see where we treated as well.
